Also, it’s crucial to feed your body some essential nutrients like zinc, magnesium, and Vitamin D, which are often found in foods like lentils, legumes, meat, dairy products and whole grains. These help boost your immune system, improve your bone health, and maintain your energy levels.

Strange as it may seem, alcohol is packed with ’empty calories,’ meaning it doesn’t provide any nutritional value but will contribute to your total calorie intake. Slow down, savour your food, and make every bite count- that’s the mantra of mindful eating. It’s about putting down your phone, turning off the television, and really focusing on your meal. Practising mindful eating not only helps you understand what your body truly needs but it also enhances your relationship with food, steering you away from unhealthy eating habits and fads.

Diet’s already on point? Well, it’s time to focus on another crucial aspect of your health, that’s physical activity! It sounds like a tall order, I know, but it doesn’t have to be. Simply aim for 150 minutes of moderate-intensity activities a week. Be it brisk walking, swimming, cycling, or gardening- you decide what fits best with your lifestyle. Every bit of effort makes a difference, and it all adds up, paving the way to a healthier you.

So there you go, change is indeed possible for every man over 40!
